St. Patrick’s day is nearly here, and you can be so sure that this year St. Patrick’s Day will reflect the amazing talents and achievements of Irish people on many national and world platforms. Also, for the very first time, St. Patrick’s Day Festival will be appointing an International Guest of Honour, and he is one of the figures on the set of the popular movie Star Wars, Mark Hamill, for his role of Luke Skywalker – you shouldn’t miss this great event.

 Here are my top events you can’t afford to miss;

Meanwhile, Cuala v Na Piarsaign – Hurling final at 3.45 pm. Remember that your ticket includes admission to the GAA Museum which is also worth a visit. Book here
  • The St Patrick’s Festival Parade, Saturday the 17th; This is the day when everyone wants to be Irish and it is set to swirl with colour, craic and pageantry. So find your shamrock, your finest green attire and join the parade beginning from the city centre; Parnell Square, Dublin 1 at 12pm. Remember, the theme is Home is Where the Heart is. Click here for more details
  • Patrick’s Festival 5K Road Race, Sunday 18th; As the only national holiday that is celebrated in more countries around the world than any other, there is a space for energetic festival goers. The annual Festival 5K Road Race will take its course through the heart of beautiful Georgian Dublin and it commences 1155am; The Start Line is on St. Stephens Green. Participants are encouraged to take a leisurely walk down to Merrion Square to relax and check out the Festival Big Day Out event. Click here for more details.

Our boutique family-run B&B was refurbished and redecorated in 2013 with soft colours to give it a cute and homely vibe with a vintage twist.

From floral patterns to bunting, candle lights, you will feel relaxed and comfortable here.

Our B&B is ideal for families, couples, small groups, and independent travelers who are looking for some peace and quiet in Dublin city centre.

We have triple glazed windows to keep the sounds of the city out and far enough away from the noisy nightlife found in Temple Bar to help you get a good night’s sleep.

Of course we’re close enough to the city centre – 20 minute walk, 10 minutes by Luas and 5 minutes by taxi if you want to experience the buzz.

Arriving late? Don’t worry, our night porter who stays onsite is always there for late check-ins.

Contact us here.

Once upon a time Parkgate Street in Dublin was full of bed & breakfasts.

Tipperary House is one of the few surviving bed and breakfasts and lives on to welcome a new generation of travelers.

In 1970Tom and Tess Mulvey decided to take over a B&B.

In 2011 Tom and Tess retired. Their son Mark who spent the first years of his life in the B&B took over the business.

Mark had stayed in B&Bs and hostels on his travels through Europe, Australia, South East Asia, South America and Canada, and was full of ideas for the perfect boutique B&B/hostel.

Having traveled extensively and being a Dublin native, Mark knows the difference that including some ‘real Dublin’ attractions can make to a break in Dublin. He loves his job helping tourists and visitors to Dublin enjoy their stay.

Though retired, Tom, can still be found helping out when Mark’s busy and is also full of tips of where to go and what to do.

We got our name from a previous owner who was from County Tipperary and called the B&B Tipperary House.

We have a close working relationship with Irish Rail and are recommended as a place to store luggage close to Heuston Station.

Our left luggage and baggage storage service is open from 8am to 8pm.

We offer secure storage for €5 per bag/suitcase.

Special offers available for more than one bag.

When Irish Rail closed its left luggage at Heuston Station in 2011, we decided to provide the service to daytrippers to Dublin, tourists and businesspeople.

It is ideal for:

  • Tourists traveling by train or to the airport from Heuston Station
  • Daytrippers and shoppers who don’t want to carry bags all day
  • Businesspeople who want to store their luggage securely while at meetings

Our secure luggage room has been fitted out with shelves for storage. It is locked at all times and all access is supervised.
