Tipperary House Dublin
Once upon a time Parkgate Street in Dublin was full of independent guesthouses. Tipperary House is one of the few surviving and lives on to welcome a new generation of travellers.
In 1970 Tom and Tess Mulvey decided to take over a B&B. In 2011 Tom and Tess retired. Their son Mark who spent the first years of his life in the B&B took over the business.
Mark had stayed in B&Bs and guesthouses on his travels through Europe, Australia, South East Asia, South America and Canada, and was full of ideas for the perfect boutique guesthouse.
Having travelled extensively and being a Dublin native, Mark knows the difference that including some ‘real Dublin’ attractions can make to a break in Dublin. He loves his job helping tourists and visitors to Dublin enjoy their stay.
Though retired, Tom can still be found helping out when Mark’s busy and is also full of tips on where to go and what to do. We got our name from a previous owner who was from County Tipperary and called the business Tipperary House.

Great spot near Jameson and Guinness, 5-10 minutes from the Temple Bar area, easy airport access using Airlink Coach €7 one way. Check-in was a breeze, friendly and helpful staff! Even held my bag while I went to breakfast!
Used for luggage storage and it worked very well
We did not spend the night, but did use their luggage storage service. It was very convenient to the train station and was easy to find. If needing to drop luggage for the day, I’d highly recommend. Times were convenient.
Great location to Phoenix Park
Enjoyed 2 night stay in Tipperary House with my two daughters. Mark and his father were both very friendly with great knowledge of the area. Tram stop and Euston Station 5 minute walk. Would not hesitate to book again. Great wee bed and breakfast.
Incredible Stay
Had an amazing stay over the st Patrick’s day weekend with some friends! Great location for city centre and staff were super friendly and very helpful! Gave us some great recommendations! Highly recommended staying here!
